During wash day, start your hair wash with warm water. However, the last rinse should be done with cold water.
Rinsing your hair with cold water helps flatten your cuticles, which may have been raised through the shampooing process, hot water, steamers, or general wear and tear. If you have highly porous, prone-to-dryness hair, you need to flatten your cuticles.
Tap water in Nigeria doesn’t get cold enough to be effective, so place a jug of water in the fridge and pour directly on my hair as your final rinse.

Start with wet or dry detangled hair. Wear an old shirt, because this can get messy. Microwave ½ to 1 cup of oil for about 30 seconds. The oil should be warm, not hot. (Please use a microwave safe container, we don’t anyone accidentally getting fried.) Using fingertips, massage olive oil into your scalp, then smooth in on your hair strands in a downward motion. All of your hair and scalp should be completed coated in oil. For extremely dry hair, add 1 part honey to 2 parts olive oil. Wrap hair in a conditioning cap and sit for 30 minutes. Wash and condition as usual using AfroRiri sulfate free Honey Moisturizing Shampoo and Detangling Conditioner. Follow up with AfroRiri Luxe Hair Butter.
